Day 7: Luanda

So, I think it's day 7...right? We landed a week ago, I do believe, and we leave day after tomorrow.

Currently, though, we're all sitting around the dining room table, with lots of Portuguese being spoken, so my participation is minimal. :)

We haven't done much today, we're still digesting from lunch, now. We went to this meat buffet on the Ilha, and it's a buffet like we know in the West, but then, the waiters walk around with huge hunks of meat on skewers and they carve off bits and put them on your plate. I ate way too much beef. You have no idea. Blech.

We booked our hostel for Lisbon today, and I'm also going to book our train tickets soon. We're going to be in Lisbon a really short time, but we're going to go buy tickets for the hop on hop off bus, and go around the city and see the sights. :D

We haven't planned what we're doing tomorrow, yet, but I'm sure it will involve too much food, and quite a bit of packing. I need to remember to pack up all my clothes - the maid here does laundry daily, but it ends up hanging on the drying rack and not being ironed for a long time, so it goes around.

  1. Glad to hear you are doing better - Rusty had same issues with malaria pills. Made him very ill. Hope your last day is fun! Sharon
